Wondrous Works In Wood is best known for their unique, handcrafted wooden mugs. Each mug is handcrafted out of a beautiful hardwood. After the woodwork is completed the mug is coated in an FDA approved plastic which makes the mug safe for drinking. The mugs are entirely covered in the clear plastic which allows the beauty of the wood to show on the inside and outside. The mugs can be used for hot or cold drinks.* Wood is an excellent insulator. It is lighter than glass or ceramic and incredibly durable. There are many sizes and woods to choose from.

Don Lewis designs are historically accurate and are assembled from exotic and heritage hardwoods with the highest regard for style and performance. His designs are lined with an FDA-approved food-safe resin, making them suitable for both hot and cold beverages. Wooden drinking vessels have many advantages over those produced with other materials. These tankards have much better insulating properties than those made of metal, glass, or ceramic. This means that both hot beverages stay hot, and cold beverages remain chilled much longer. 

These tankards will survive accidental abuses that would leave both glass and ceramic vessels cracked and broken; and our products never develop the “metallic taste” common with metal vessels, nor will the mug burn your lips with that first morning coffee.
