Haus Gryphon's
Klaue
Haus Gryphon’s Klaue (House Gryphon's Claw) is a Household with members
participating in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). It was formed with the
idea that the household would strive to make individual’s time in the SCA more
enriching, enjoyable and fun by offering our knowledge, time, and companionship to one
another and those around us. The founding member is THL Ulrich von Rothenburg, Herr
(Lord) of the Haus and his Dame (Lady), Genevieve d’Calais. Although the Haus has a
strong German persona influence, any persona culture is welcome. The Herr’s and
Haus’ motto is Ehren Sie vor allem (Honor above all). This is the “heart”
of the Haus. Dishonorable behavior or conduct will not be tolerated. The Haus is to
set an example for others in the SCA to emulate and to aid in welcoming new gentles into
the SCA. We will teach and welcome new gentles by asking them to join our activities
and encampment at events; sharing our food, drink and hospitality to enrich their
experience during their first event.
